The article examines the problem of developing secondary school senior pupils' foreign-language communicative competence. The author proposes to intensify this process using French comics at the lessons. The paper justifies the educational potential of French comics, provides examples of exercises aimed to improve language and verbal skills and other aspects of foreignlanguage communicative competence.
